The daybed must be combined with two mattresses, 80x200. They are placed on top of each other when you use the daybed as a single bed, and next to each other when you use it as a double bed.
Bed linen sold separately.
Slatted bed base is included.
2 ÅFJÄLL foam mattresses included.
The day-bed is not to be used as two single beds, it should only be used as a double bed when the bed base is pulled out.

Really poor design - made it now, but going to look at returning for refund don't love it at all sadly.

Looks great, hard to build and poor designAnonymous reviewerLooks great when it's built both as the day bed and pulled out as a double. Its bigger than you expect when it's pulled out and probably more a king than double. I'd suggest you need two mattresses as a double if used regularly, the mattresses are quite thin. The construction is difficult and there's issues with the parts provided as the screws aren't strong enough to hold the slats on the pull out, I've had to put wooden props in between the drawers to keep it stable

Slipping mattressAnonymous reviewerI have this bed which I use as a single most of the time. It has 2 mattresses which you can use when double, the problem is when used as a single it is really uncomfortable as the top mattress slips . It should have some sort of Velcro or fasteners to stop this happening when using both mattresses come on ikea think of something to stop this happening .

Good option for guest roomAnonymous reviewerThis is great for a guest bed but I don’t recommend it for regular use. The foam mattresses included are very thin and make for an uncomfortable nights sleep over long periods of time. The bed was not too difficult to construct with 2 people but took a long time. The drawers are very spacious. If placed on a wooden floor the bed frame does tend to migrate, perhaps some sticky pads under the legs would help. Be careful not to stand on this bed or put too much pinpointed pressure in one area, as one of the slats snapped from doing this not long after assembly. We repaired it with a spare bit of wood.

A comfy additional bedAnonymous reviewerA very comfy day bed (sofa bed?). We talked to a very helpful lady at the Warrington store and she advised us to opt for the Vannareid sprung mattresses, not foam and I'm glad we did.
Assembly is a little daunting with the thirty-odd pages of pictures and few words - a style that has now become ubiquitous, unfortunately. There were no shortages and everything went together easily. You do need a lot of space for assembly, I was grateful that I built our bed in an otherwise unfurnished room.
There are a few things I'd like to comment on:
1. The bed slats are substantial, but made of a resinous softwood. This resin will mark the mattress. I cut some of the packaging cardboard and tissue to use as a liner.
2. The metal knobs fit onto the drawer fronts which close onto the front panel so they protrude. It's very easy to catch them when swinging your legs out of / into bed. I replaced them with leather tassels from our local cobbler.
3. Wider wheels would be much better for carpet.
