Hemnes three draw chestAnonymous reviewerAfter having the hemnes bedroom furniture for many years which is still in as good condition , we decided to add the three draw chest as well , when it was delivered the paint work was very poor we could see the wood through paint , it looked like it had just had an under coat and hadn’t been finished off with the top glossy coat which really does look great . Thinking this was a genuine mistake we had it sent back to ikea for an exchange, we haven’t received the exchange yet but after reading some of the reviews on this chest of draws I’m not expecting it to be any different which is very disappointing, I will be sending it back if it is for a full refund. Just like to add that the display chest of draws in the Warrington store is as it should be with a well painted gloss white finish.

Quality set of drawersAnonymous reviewerI bought the 3 drawer and 2 x bedside tables with 2 drawers. These are very sturdy and robust. We love the internal finish. Very unusual and classy. Lovely quality and I love the soft painted finish which looks perfect in our bedroom. The drawers are very roomy and hold more than you imagine. Easy to put together. I bought the glass top for all 3 which makes them look very expensive and a nice finishing touch. Easy to wipe down and protects the tops from spills and damage. We love them.

Looks great but difficult to assembleAnonymous reviewerBeautiful chest of drawers, sturdy and quite large so holds a lot of clothing. Love the natural wooden top and drawer pulls. I’ve had hemnes before but I’m impressed the drawers have been improved and have metal under drawer supports to prevent the drawers bases from sinking. However, this is very difficult to assemble, the pre drilled holes are far too small making it exceptionally difficult to screw together. I made a mistake when building but found it impossible to disassemble fortunately my error has seemingly not affected the look or function of the unit. Also some of the holes in the drawer pulls are not drilled deep enough so the screws do not go in far enough leaving the drawer pulls a little loose.

Disappointed with new whiteAnonymous reviewerUnfortunately had to return the white drawers as they don’t match the quality of the ones I’ve bought previously only a few years ago. I wanted the same Hemnes drawers to match but these are now white stain effect and a poor finish in my opinion. My others still look lovely have have lasted well but theses are not on the same specifications
Whilst I appreciate they’ve updates the range I feel the other white ones should still be available too and we’re a better finish and quality. After reading previous reviews now I realise this is not just my experience of these drawers.
Will probably switch to malm or another brand but prefered the style of hemnes.
