I have built a lot of Ikea furniture before, including Hemnes, so I'm used to the process and this was as easy as the others.
I have taken off one star because the top seemed unfinished and I felt the need to put on a couple of coats of varnish. Also, the handles are perhaps not as nice as the black metal ones I have on the white furniture, but that is just being picky.

Quality set of drawersAnonymous reviewerI bought the 3 drawer and 2 x bedside tables with 2 drawers. These are very sturdy and robust. We love the internal finish. Very unusual and classy. Lovely quality and I love the soft painted finish which looks perfect in our bedroom. The drawers are very roomy and hold more than you imagine. Easy to put together. I bought the glass top for all 3 which makes them look very expensive and a nice finishing touch. Easy to wipe down and protects the tops from spills and damage. We love them.

Looks great but difficult to assembleAnonymous reviewerBeautiful chest of drawers, sturdy and quite large so holds a lot of clothing. Love the natural wooden top and drawer pulls. I’ve had hemnes before but I’m impressed the drawers have been improved and have metal under drawer supports to prevent the drawers bases from sinking. However, this is very difficult to assemble, the pre drilled holes are far too small making it exceptionally difficult to screw together. I made a mistake when building but found it impossible to disassemble fortunately my error has seemingly not affected the look or function of the unit. Also some of the holes in the drawer pulls are not drilled deep enough so the screws do not go in far enough leaving the drawer pulls a little loose.
Loads of roomAnonymous reviewerThey were bigger than I thought and manage to fit almost all my clothes in! I got the glass top too, a lovely finishing touch. Again as a 56 yr old woman I put iit together in a hour, easy to follow instructions
