Hot water is released by turning the lever to the left. It is only then that hot water is consumed.

Reviews
Looks deceiveAnonymous reviewerLovely looking tap and was working great initially. However, like a lot of other people are mentioning; after a couple of years of daily use, the handle is becoming more and more stiff and almost impossible to use and making a lot of nose. Husband tried using silicone spray and WD40 in the lever "joint" but nothing has helped. We are now looking at changing the tap, but it won't be an IKEA one since many customers have complaint about this issue, but I've not seen any replies from IKEA about solving this.
Love this tapAnonymous reviewerI installed this tap when we renovated our bathroom and we've been using it daily since 2022 (3 years at the time of writing).
It looks beautiful with the RUTSJÖN sink, works well and is easy to keep clean.
I'd definitely buy it again.
Nice tap but...Anonymous reviewerWe have two of these installed in an IKEA double basin. One is fine but the other one's handle is getting stiffer to lift and turn. I wonder if IKEA can comment on how to resolve this?
