Not fit for purposeAnonymous reviewerWe bought this teapot from the Manchester store and the first time we added hot water the teapot cracked spilling water all over the worktop. we made a 25 mile round trip to replace it with a new one. The first time we added hot water to the replacement it also cracked. Another round trip to get a refund. Should have a warning - only use cold water!
Good but heavy and difficult for small hands Anonymous reviewerBought as replacement for previous broken pot. Makes 3 large mugs of tea, or 4 small cups. It's heavy to start with and even more so when full. I have small hands so find it more difficult to use, my husband hands are very large so it's better suited to him. I would point out the lid handle gets very hot while brewing, so when putting a finger on, to steady as poring, it can be uncomfortable. I will keep using it until I see something more suitable for us, but would not buy again.

Note to US users - do not use on stove!Anonymous reviewerSorry I don't have this teapot but was alarmed to see that someone in the US put this teapot on the stove and found it shattered. You don't put teapots on the stove!!! You boil water in a kettle, pour the hot water onto teabags or tealeaves in the pot and leave it to brew for five minutes. You should NEVER put a teapot on the stove, that is not how you make tea. I am in the UK, so we know how to use teapots and how to make tea. Actually appalled (although also amused) that IKEA replied to the comment about the shattering teapot apparently also without knowing that a teapot does NOT go on a burner. *facepalm*

"GLADELIG tableware is made with reactive glaze, which gives the surface a livelier, handcrafted expression. We also put a lot of work into finding the right proportions and curves to make the shapes feel harmonious. The idea is that the plates will suit many different dishes and occasions – from TV dinners to weekend meals. One favourite is the medium-sized plate with slightly higher edges which we think combines tradition and contemporary design in a nice way."
