Franklin Chair suitabilityAnonymous reviewerBrilliant Chair for most and as a Bar side but if used openly without a rest in front like I wanted it for it is too smooth a surface that you can slip off and since it has no arm rest you can fall off if you use it to sit and watch TV and want to get off literally standing up the feet do not touch the ground and the foot rest is too far in, so much so one has to bend your leg from knee to rest and at the age of 73 I found it not practical and thus will be returning them but must say love the quality and if only it had arm rest and non slip seating and the seat had extending foot rest it might make a difference. I might go to your Greenwich branch to return and if they had the next size down I might try and sit on it as may do the job as a standby.5

Choose the right bar stool height

Choose the right height of your bar stool so that it is comfy to sit on, offers plenty of leg room and is proportionate with the rest of your space. Kitchen counters and counter-height tables typically range from 87-91 cm from the floor. To find the perfect stool for your counter, look for a seat height of 60-66 cm. Tabletops or counters that measure between 101-106 cm from the floor, are typically classified as "bar height", and require a seat height of 72-76 centimetres.
