Fault on armsAnonymous reviewerLike most other reviewers I have an old style Flintan chair; the end of the solid foam arms originally fitted have broken and I wanted to replace them. Luckily I read these reviews to find these arms will not fit so it is a new chair or do without arms. Poor show Ikea!

Make sure your chair isn't too oldAnonymous reviewerI have a flintan chair but obviously it's an old one as there are only 2 bolt holes under the chair. These armrests have 4 bolt holes. Like the other reviewer I wasn't able to buy arms with the chair due to a stock issue.
Rather than throw away a chair I have decided to create my own mounting points for the arm.
Ikea as per your pledge. If you want to "Empower people to live more sustainably", please make adapter plates or better still don't change the design without changing the name of the product.
Not compatibleAnonymous reviewerPurchased two Flintan chairs in 2020 without arms as not in stock at the time. Completed office makeover recently and wanted to update the chairs by adding the arms, purchased in store, but got them home to discover they don’t fit our chairs. The name is the same, the style looks no different but something as definitely changed as there is no way to make them fit. If a product is altered this should be advertised and made clear. Very disappointed as now need to travel over an hour to return them!
