Great for the price.Anonymous reviewerIt took 40 minutes to assemble, (I only went wrong once). I was a bit concerned that to open/close it you need to use the key which is quite vulnerable if left in the lock. I bought some strong magnets, and judicially placed, they keep it firmly shut. They also keep doors tight together which should keep the inside clean. I'm a bit concerned about the glass back up against the wall. Time will tell if dust or cobwebs get down the back. It would be a pain to untether from the wall, remove delicate items, and drag out to clean there.... I'm going to drill a hole in the bottom to install lighting.5

Perfect Glass Cabinet, Well DesignedAnonymous reviewerI love this cabinet. For many years I've liked the look of the ikea industrial glass cabinets in all their formations, but never had the space or need for one. Finally, once our blue themed room was complete, it coincided with ikea releasing this very dark blue framed cabinet. Bingo! I've had to be honest and say 4 out of 5 stars as one piece of glass has a scratch, and I didn't notice till assembled (ikea did say I could return and get replacement cabinet, but it wasn't worth it as its on the side), but in my heart I want to still give it 5 stats.4

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
