Fixing to plasterboard wallAnonymous reviewerI wonder if the Eket suspension rail would work with these Ehnet cupboards - seems like a good idea. If so I would have liked to this mentioned as a potential option in the listing. 2 screws seem inadequate and supporting with additional timber or traditional shelf brackets seems like an inelegant solution. More sophisticated plasterboard fixings don't work for me owing to shallow gap behind my plasterboard.3
Exactly as describedAnonymous reviewerWe used this wee shelf unit to cover up some plumbing for an outside tap. It was great for stacking toilet rolls. All screws and pieces were there as described.5
Great value Anonymous reviewerGreat value for the money. Very good product and very easy to assemble 5
Very easy to put together.Anonymous reviewerVery easy to put together. Looks good but might need two people to fit as ne needs to hold this up as it's quite long. I have bought the mirror doors for wo cabinets and they make this frame very heavy so if fitting the mirror doors make sure you attach firmly to walls5
Look very nice , I didn't use they method of fixing to the wall, it just didn't look right or safe, so I converted it to the one's used for hanging kitchen wall cabinet Anonymous reviewerNeed a better way of fixing to the wall 4
Brilliant Anonymous reviewerI was looking for bathroom cabinets for ages. I ended up with 2 of these. So easy to put together and a brilliant size. They look fantastic up too. The only issue I had was the wall fitting screws were too short so I used larger ones. Highly recommend though 5
Bathroom cabinetAnonymous reviewerNice and big. Easy to hang and reasonably priced5
Great bathroom cabinet Anonymous reviewerI bought this for my small bathroom and fits perfectly, not too wide, not too weirdly tall, and the depth is just fine. It has 2 shelves, easy to assemble and install. I did it myself in 30min total. Looks neat and luxurious with the mirror panels. The mirror is real not fake. It fits a lots of bathroom ladies necessities. Definitely recommend.5
Good StuffAnonymous reviewerUsing it as a bookshelf ! Good Stuff5
Bathroom cabinet Anonymous reviewerLooks really good with the mirror doors, strong 5
Bathroom cabinetAnonymous reviewerExcellent product, good price, easy assembly. Couldn't ask for more.5
will buy againAnonymous reviewerThe cabinet is sturdy and very useful. We hang it on the wall in the bathroom. 5
Misleading item. Doors not includedAnonymous reviewerCalled into ikea for a bed but decided to also update our bathroom cabinet with a very reasonably priced one, the smallest Enhet. Took a picture of it so we had the location etc. Got it home, just opened the box to building before fitting and there are no doors. nowhere does it say on the labelling that the doors are extra. Extremely disappointing. Now we have no bathroom mirror as we’ve had to have it fitted as the guy came to do it. We’ll have to travel back to ikea and hope they have doors (as the cabinet is no longer on the website) 1
Nice and well made bathroom cabinet. Anonymous reviewerLook goood in the bathroom. 4
Extremely difficult to mount it on wallAnonymous reviewerEasy to assemble but difficult and unsafe to mount it onto the wall. Two screws only? That makes the whole cabinet quite not useful as could only put lightweight stuff inside. 2
Too heavy for fixing bracketsAnonymous reviewerBought this item, the item is very nice and very solid but there are only 2 fixing anchor points which are only at the top and every time you open the doors the unit moves away slightly at the bottom, to make this secure there should be 4 fixing anchor points, 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom, last week I came home from work to find the unit on the floor, it appears the unit fell off the wall and hit the toilet seat which now has a crack on it, not great to be honest 1
Do not buyAnonymous reviewerSo after a good couple of hours have given up on this cabinet and mirrors. The holes in teh frame are not big enough. The screws in the cabinet doors are stiff and very hard to screw in flush to the unit. Lastly I stood back and you can see double of you if you stand in the middle of the 2 pieces of glass. Very unhappy with this product. Its closer to take it to the dump than back to the store.1
Difficult to mount to the wall - badly designedAnonymous reviewerThe cabinet itself is nice but the wall mounting brackets are fixed at about 2.5cm from the wall. The supplied screws are only about 5cm long. The wall mounting arrangement does not inspire much confidence in IKEA engineering. I ended up using M6 bolt anchors and wasted a day just on solving this issue.2
Avoid - Not good.Anonymous reviewerDoes not contain the screws to attach to wall or any guidance on what screws are appropriate. They need to be super long ones that are very difficult to get a hold of (extra long and with the curved top). After messing around for a few weeks trying to get the right screws I'm giving up and needing to now drive an hour to return. Very disappointed.1
Sturdy and adjustable shelves.Anonymous reviewerVery happy, it feels weighty and sturdy. The shelves adjust well to fit electric toothbrushes which has been an issue in the past. Doesn’t come cheap as you need the door to finish off.5

Shared knowledge creates innovations

ENHET is the first storage series that our kitchen and bathroom specialists developed together. But if you think about it, it's a pretty logical collaboration. Both kitchens and bathrooms need work spaces, storage solutions and organisation – and need to withstand daily wear and tear in a humid environment. We also know that they are areas that many people find difficult and time-consuming to both plan and assemble. That’s what we set out to change.

One goal with ENHET was that all parts should be easy to assemble – intuitively and without any special tools. For cabinets and drawers it was a given to use the wooden wedge dowel which started to replace classic fittings in the IKEA range a few years ago.

Easy assembly with “Grisen”

But a new innovation was needed for the open storage in metal frames. That’s how "Grisen" ("Pig" in Swedish) came to be – a metal wedge dowel that allows you to easily assemble the frames with just a click. "It actually looks like the snout of a little piglet, so the nickname felt like a natural choice", says product developer Daniel Loader, who took part in the project.

Reliable steel

One challenge with the metal frames was that the steel must withstand the humid environments of kitchens and bathrooms – without rusting. “We found a method in the automotive industry called AD coating”, says Daniel and describes how all the frame parts are dipped in the coating. “After we saw the lab test photos, it was clear that we had the right solution. They showed rust on parts with other coatings, while those with the AD coating were rust-free.” Looking back at the project, Daniel thinks it provided important insights. “Something happens when you bring together a lot of people with different experiences, and strong and innovative momentum can arise."

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
