Great mirrored doorsAnonymous reviewerI already had the 80cm wide Enhet cabinet (which strangely they don't sell anymore) and decided to fit doors on it. The pre fitted screws in the hinges were very tight and kept pushing the hinge away from the frame so each screw needed fully drilling in and out before lining up with frame. That helped a lot. Adjusting the doors once they were on took a little time but eventually they look great.5

Further purchase necessaryAnonymous reviewerWe purchased 2 units to go above our dual bathroom sinks. So simple to build, look brilliant on the wall and love the adjustable shelves. However, the screws provided, for fitting to the wall, weren’t anywhere close to long enough! We had to invest in extra long screws and stronger rawlplugs. Wish we’d known beforehand as it was extra investment in time and cost. 4

At first I loved the look of the Enhet bathroom cabinet and mirrored doors but only two years on in a well ventilated bathroom the doors have blown and the bottom trim has rusted. Unfortunately I no longer have the receipt to ask for a refund/replacement.1

Material

What is mirror glass?

Mirror glass comprises mostly of ordinary glass with a reflective coating in some kind of metal. In the past it was common for the coating to contain lead or mercury – but over time, both of these metals have been shown to be harmful to people and the environment. That’s why, as of several years ago, IKEA has a total ban on using lead or mercury in our mirrors and instead it is non-toxic silver or aluminium that reflects your mirror image.
