Safety and compliance
The cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 50,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.The cover has a lightfastness level of 6 (the ability to resist colour fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.

Terrible my husband was injured!Anonymous reviewerWe have been buying ikea products, in particular living room furniture for our whole married life. We wanted to buy a second footstool to go with our other furniture. I wanted a second Gronlid one but it seems to have disappeared so we went for this one! The quality is so shockingly poor in comparison and the cover does not fit properly..My husband was injured on the sharp Velcro edges and cut his finger. Now I can't return it as a small amount of blood went on the cover. The material does not stretch and doesn't fit properly so you have to fiddle and pull it so tight it looks terrible! One of the screws didn't go in properly. It's also incredibly hard so you can't use as a seat! It's ridiculously light and just moves around the floor. I don't know what would have been more of a match to what we already have but it's not this! Please take it away IKEA it's annoying me just looking at it!

Lovely to put your legs on and can be positioned wherever we want in front of the sofa. Much better than having a built in one in the sofa. Firm enough to put a tray on, as a temporary coffee table. Also works as an extra seat.

Only problem now is that it’s too heavy to shift between seating areas now it’s full. I wonder if IKEA recommend any unobtrusive castors or sliders to make it moveable?

All for a smidge over £100.
It also doubles as a throw store, small table, part time dog bed 🤣 & of course a wonderful place to rest weary aching legs.
