Safety and compliance
The cover has a lightfastness level of 6 (the ability to resist colour fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 55,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.

We chose the striped covers, which are made with really tough fabric. My husband found assembly really easy and straight forward. The construction appears to be really well made and solid. I will be ordering a 2nd set of covers. Only needed a fine spray with water and hair dryer to get the creases out. Thank you IKEA.

Love the colour - not so much the ironing!Anonymous reviewerWe needed a new cover for our old Ektorp sofa and the blue is perfect. The cover is a looser fit than the old one but went on more easily because of that. What I wasn't prepared for was the first task of ironing the cover which is not easy! The pieces are big awkward to get flat on a domestic ironing board and the task took myself and my husband a couple of hours to complete. You can't skip this task. The fabric is too creased to ignore.

You get what you pay forAnonymous reviewerFlat packed sofa was a little daunting but relatively easy to set up and dress. It looks very smart when it's finished. My issue was the seating pads where so soft I developed severe back pain and permanent dents where left where I sat ( I only weigh 9.45 stones). I had to take the seats to a professional upholsterer where he said the material used had blown. It has cost me just under £200 to get replacement pads just so I can sit in comfort. If i had known the interior materials that were used where economy value I wouldn't have bought them.
Colour darker green than shownAnonymous reviewerI ordered this thinking the green would be lighter, it's darker than the green shown. It's well made and fits and creases less than my old cover. I just wish Ikea would do lighter colours, all the colours are so miserable, what happened to the pale blue and light cream type colours.

As always great value Anonymous reviewerThis is about the 8th cover we have brought over the last 20+ years. None have worn out and are machine washable so great value, especially with children who do spill stuff on them. The only issue is that the seat cushion covers are not reversible and that the darker covers tend to suffer from fading of left in strong sunlight for extended periods years. Solved this time by buying some nice throws to cover when we don't have visitors.
