This durable cover is made from Karlshov, a yarn-dyed 100% cotton fabric with classic stripes. Natural materials make the fabric feel pleasant to the touch. The cover can be machine washed and is easy to take off and put on again.

Safety and compliance
The cover has a lightfastness level of 5 (the ability to resist colour fading) on a scale of 1 to 8. According to industry standards, a lightfastness level of 4 or higher is suitable for home use.This cover’s ability to resist abrasion has been tested to handle 30,000 cycles. 15,000 cycles or more is suitable for furniture used every day at home. Over 30,000 cycles means a good ability to resist abrasion.

We chose the striped covers, which are made with really tough fabric. My husband found assembly really easy and straight forward. The construction appears to be really well made and solid. I will be ordering a 2nd set of covers. Only needed a fine spray with water and hair dryer to get the creases out. Thank you IKEA.

Love the colour - not so much the ironing!Anonymous reviewerWe needed a new cover for our old Ektorp sofa and the blue is perfect. The cover is a looser fit than the old one but went on more easily because of that. What I wasn't prepared for was the first task of ironing the cover which is not easy! The pieces are big awkward to get flat on a domestic ironing board and the task took myself and my husband a couple of hours to complete. You can't skip this task. The fabric is too creased to ignore.
