Seat cushionsAnonymous reviewerI love the look of this couch, it looks smart and modern and the material is great and easy to remove and clean. However, the seat cushions are terrible. They are very uncomfortable. Within a few weeks of purchasing it the seat cushions were flat. You can feel the the board underneath which isn't sprung so feels like you're sitting on a rock hard floor. My bottom and especially my coccyx are painful all the time. I've even tried gel cushions to try and soften them up but even that hasn't worked.
To IKEA. It is such a shame I have had to write this complaint as it's a very stylish couch and looks lovely. But it is very hard and uncomfortable.
Is there anything that you can do to solve this problem ? I see through other comments that I'm not on my own. Maybe you could replace yhe cushions with a better, softer and more comfortable version ?

If you don’t get your bum exactly in the centre of the cushion the wooden frame in between feels like sitting on a wooden bench. Really disappointed because it looks really rice in situ:-(

Love this sofaAnonymous reviewerWe bought this for our family room to withstand a toddler and a dog using it daily. So far, so good. Stains wipe off easily and knowing that the covers are washable makes us feel very relaxed about sticky fingers and muddy paws. We haven’t had it long, so can’t comment on how it will last, but so far it is extremely comfortable and ideal for lounging on.

Cushions give no support Anonymous reviewerI was hoping for an option to get firm cushions but wasn't given a choice. Now after three months I can't use the sofa as it has caused a prolapsed disk in my back. Very disappointed. I thought IKEA gave a choice of cushion firmness.

Great sofa - goes flat quickly Anonymous reviewerReally great sofa and fits perfectly in our living room, love the fact that the covers wash and dry really well just the cushions haven’t worn very well, they have all gone very flat and quite uncomfortable in places and even with constant plumping the cushions immediately look deflated and sad and give so support. So it’s a great sofa for a short amount of time.

Great looking sofaAnonymous reviewerLooks great in the space but its not up to previous standards. Ive had various erktops over the years and all have lasted well. This one the seat cushions are already flat and the back cushions need plumping continuously otherwise they look untidy.
Too soft Anonymous reviewerPurchased to replace a previous sofa the same and this is far too soft seat cushions. I can feel the springs in just 2 days. Nothing like the old one and no mention of it being different. Very very dissatisfied. Will need decent foam in the cushions before the end of the month
2 years on, it's as flat as a pancake.Anonymous reviewerI really researched what I wanted and knowing how great the old ektorp sofas are, I went for the corner sofa and 2 sets of covers. At first it looked amazing, big comfy cushions, great choice, very happy.
Fast forward 2 years, the covers have been washed and changed several times, still look amazing. The back cusions still have shape and bounce but the bottom cushions, its almost as bad as sitting on a park bench, can feel the wooden frame. Its so uncomfy, I don't know why it's so bad, did IKEA change something? Really regret buying this sadly.

I love the classic shape and the fact you can buy a new set of covers should you change your mind on the colour or your decorating scheme. Delivery was quick and painless. It looks beautiful in my room and it's really comfortable. It was really easy to assemble and it's nice and solid. The covers are soft and really warm. The covers are a great fit and I like the material they are made from. EXCELLENT quality for the price. Really happy with the sofa.
