Cute soap dishVerified BuyerMy son saw this and it came home. It is just the right size. It is ceramic and has a black base and white top. It fits on my basin easily.5
Soap dishVerified BuyerGood overall and nice neutral colour, in bathroom just need to take care not to drop or slip off sink/bath as will break on tiles. I did have a grey one before which ended in bits.4
UnbelievableTommy Top ReviewsWhat can I say?! Mind blown! Truly amazing product. I was debating for weeks whether or not to go ahead with the purchase and my god I’m glad I did! This isn’t just a soap dish... it’s a Swedish made, two tone ikea soap dish. With it’s riveting black and white contrasting colours and elegantly raised soap stability dimples, it truly does live up to the hype. A very close friend and mentor of mine recommended Ikea as a reputable supplier of household tat. With pre made rooms it was easy to visualise the soap dish in action. I placed it aloft a bathroom sink, slightly left of the hot tap (an almost identical set up to my own sink). I knew immediately that I’d made the right choice. The functionality of the dish works well. It will take a full bar of fairy hand soap no problem. I tested a dove bar too (more circular in shape) and was utterly flabbergasted to see that it too fitted no problem. If I had to make just one recommendation or improvement to the dish it would be to drill just a slight pilot hole down the centre. This was allow any water collected to drain out of the dish, but as a compromise you could just tip it out instead. Great value for money. 10/10. Would recommend whole heartedly.5
Nice quality, stylish productcaly10A neat little soap dish with a waxy dark grey finish to the outside - the bottom is covered in this too, so hopefully won't scratch my gloss white worktops. Simple and stylish, goes really well with my bathroom scheme of white metro tiles and grey grouting.5
Lovely colourAicha123Works exactly as expected5
Modern, clean, dishwasher suitable soap dishWessexWomanThis soap dish has a clean appearance and nice matt grey underside. I broke ours and so went straight back to get another as I really like them. I put it in the dishwasher occasionally but use it mostly for the resting place for a nail brush.5
Great product!Jackie48Love it had been looking for a soap dish for ages and this fills the bill superbly5
Looks good but quite fragileSal58We bought a pair not these a few months ago but broke one when it fell into the sink (on the first day). Make sure you keep it on a level surface.3
Me and himPerfect shape and match for my bathroom5
Soap dishJill333It’s a nice soap dish. The soap stays solid as it has little bumps on the bottom5

What is ceramic?

Ceramic is a heat-resistant and durable material that has been used by humans to make practical objects for thousands of years. The base material is different types of clay that are oven-burned and become things like terracotta, stoneware, pottery and porcelain. At IKEA we mainly use ceramic for plant pots, porcelain, washbasins and kitchen sinks. Since it can be shaped and even glazed to the desired colour and shine, the possibilities of styles and looks are endless.
