DeceivedAnonymous reviewerI think majority of the reviewers have said it - The design leaves no tolerance for adjustability, making the entire process frustrating and nearly impossible to complete alone.
IKEA, you can do better - this product needs to be redesigned to be far more intuitive and hassle-free. The current fixing system is a step backward. In its current form, this product simply should stop being produced.
If IKEA continues to claim that its furniture is easy to assemble, they should record and publish a full assembly video to actually show and prove it. As it stands, this experience falls far below the standard I expect from IKEA.

Impractical to BuildAnonymous reviewerWhile the product itself was exactly what I was after, I probably would have looked elsewhere if I knew how difficult it would be to build. The screws were too big for the screw holes, the directions on which way to slide the screws once inserted were different across the parts, and the final configuration was too difficult with the backboard in place.
In the end I had to position the cabinet in a way to hide the flaws of the build and the planks which weren't flush.
Hand me a kallax Anonymous reviewerThe assembly wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but what's done me in is finding out that IKEA doesn't make a box that fits perfectly in the eket like they do for kallax 🙃 If you search under eket inserts, the kuggis comes up but there's reviews saying it doesn't fit. The rest of the boxes are too small and don't fill the compartment.

The actual design of this product is nice to see in person but is let down by drill holes not properly aligned, one was even flipped the wrong way around making it impossible to slot the piece on with the others. Whoever’s in charge of the quality assurance of this product needs to re-evaluate what they are doing.

After some brute force (with a hammer) we managed to get it together but with visible damage in parts. It’s very disappointing as we have always had a good experience with Ikea assembly.
Theory and practice is very different Anonymous reviewerI ordered 2 of these to keep books and other items in my new bedroom. These were delivered as part of a larger order (which I'm happy with) on Thursday and started assembling one today. The assembly was also going ok, but one side the plastic fixture making the mini shelf broke, and fitting the last panel with the back covering is an absolute pain, with a gap between that and the rest of the panels, meaning it is sticking out slightly, which, not to mention, is not secure to put anything in it.
Given the current situation, I'm considering returning the other unopened box and getting something similar to do the job.

The units are so easy to assemble it took me around half an hour - just read the instructions and start with the correct piece! Great for storing vinyl records and a nice alternative to Kallax!

The fourth was not accurately cut and the corners did not fit well. The finished product was barely adequate, and remained wobbly. It was made serviceable by bracing each corner with angled plates I bought elsewhere and attached myself.
