nice solid cutleryAnonymous revieweri like the dragon cutlery, as the handles are wider than most cutlery, i have arthritis and can’t hold thin handled cutlery and find it difficult if it’s too light also, so this set is perfect for me. i bought a few sets as got rid of my others after buying the first set of these as liked them so much. i did notice though when i went to get the other sets that the fork designed had changed slightly, i'm not keen on how the forks look now but that’s my preference, i went to another store for something not sold at my usual and found sets with the old version in so i got those sets and returned those with new designed forks. the forks won’t match if i buy another set so that’s a bit disappointing, i don’t know why they needed to change it, hopefully my kids won’t lose any, they are a good price and wash nicely in the dishwasher.5

Ok, but less strong than they used to beAnonymous reviewerThese are ok, but I bought them to complement and replace a set we bought several years back, and these are noticeably thinner, lighter and use less metal. This would not be a big deal but for the fact that these previously very strong cutlery now bend much more easily than before. So they've gone from being a fantastic set of cutlery that I loved for their robustness to one that seems much cheaper, less durable and one that I have to constantly worry about damaging/bending.3

Material

What is stainless steel?

Stainless steel is found in everything from building structures and cars to sinks and knives. It’s easy to see why it has so many uses. Stainless steel is hard and durable and has good resistance to corrosion – namely rust. It generally has a low nickel content, and for IKEA products we mainly use stainless steel that’s nickel-free. Like many other metals, it can be recycled again and again to become new, hardwearing things – without losing its valuable properties.

Quality

A few words on cutlery

All cutleries need some care to maintain their original finish. Rinse cutlery after use to remove any scraps of food, even if you plan to wash up later. If you use a dishwasher, choose a shorter cycle and dry the cutlery by hand. That way you avoid rust spots caused by food that sticks to the cutlery, or by leaving cutlery too long in the hot, humid air inside the machine. Good advice doesn't have to be expensive.
