Good curtain wire, happy with purchaseAnonymous reviewerI was a bit nervous about getting this a few reviews said about the wire freying or coming apart after being cut I'm not sure if it's a new addition since those people purchased but the ends of the wires come with tiny pieces of plastic on the ends you have to look carefully, if you didn't you wouldn't even see they was on there, if you slide the plastic along the wire to where you want to cut cut it then slowly slide the plastic as you put it into the bracket it stops the wire from coming apart, I brought as a wire for a room divider curtain and I'm really happy with it 4

Brilliant in concept, awful in practiceAnonymous reviewerI bought these to create a room divider. The assembly instructions are nearly unintelligible. When I finally figured out what I was supposed to do, I then had to move on to the nightmare of cutting the wire. After 45 minutes of hacking away, I was left with a frayed mess that took another 20 minutes to cram it into the bracket. Once up, the wire wouldn't hold the lightest of curtains (because of the distance between the brackets--even WITH the additional middle brackets).
The solution for IKEA is clear: sell thicker, sturdier wire at pre-cut lengths (or offer a cutting service in-house)
The solution for you: buy a different product.2
Don’t be tricked by the slick appearanceAnonymous reviewerThis product is a nightmare to assemble - and once done the wire will never remain suspended and in tension. Even with the lightest fabrics your curtain will look like a shabby school theater. Definitely not worth the money or the time spent putting it together.
And the amount of stucco needed to patch up the holes in my wall.

We have now tried 4 different wire cutters and either can’t cut it at all, or can’t get a clean cut that allows us to fit the wire correctly.3

Fiddly fittings.Anonymous reviewerA great idea in principle (and looks nice) - but it is hard to get the wire taut. The mounting brackets themselves are easy to fix but stringing the wire between 2 fixed points seems a bit too fiddly.3
