The lids have a removable silicone seal that could get lost if you're not careful. Sometimes I think I've screwed the lid on, but it hadn't engaged so I dropped the jar on the bench when I picked up the jar by the lid. It bounced but it could be a different story if it had dropped to the floor. I must learn to double check. Still happy, reasonably priced. I also bought the smaller version but they are less useful because I can't get my measuring half-teaspoon in the neck. These jars have a wide neck and I can easily get a tablespoon in.4

Great jars, so far so good - but we need replacement seals.Anonymous reviewerThese seem to work so far, but the rubber/silicone seals are small, light and easy to damage, stain or lose during the sterilisation process (kids involved!).
Come on Ikea - do we really have to buy a pack of 4 more jars because one seal is missing or warped? Customer services were as helpful as they could be, but there is a simple solution if you genuinely want to promote sustainability. Please make packs of replacement seals available.
This would also help in making Guldfisk more useful.4
