Not long lasting! Anonymous reviewerLovely looking doors but they don’t last long. Our kitchen is 7 years old and all the paint on the lower doors are flaking away paint and showing MDF. We aren’t a hard wearing family either. I would hope kitchen doors would last longer than this, especially at this price. Had to buy all new doors for our kitchen which is very frustrating. Wouldn’t buy an ikea kitchen again I’m afraid. 1

What is fibreboard?

Fibreboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fibreboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
