MediocreAnonymous reviewerOverall I am ok with how this turned out, but it is very fiddly for the hanging version of the cabinets. As others noted, it is a 2+1 box that needs to be joined. This leaves a very obvious, and ugly, join line between the two. And unless you are super careful with the levels it will look poor when finished. The hanging system is at best, a joke. The hanging rails are connected by two flimsy connectors that cause the rail to flop around all over the place - you will need two people to do this accurately. Why not offer a single long rail instead of connecting 3 singles together?! You also need to flip and realign of the rail when marking holes - why make it complex at this key step? Quality of doors is good, but the veneer on the box part is super thin and I scratched it in a couple of visible places during assembly, no chance I will take it apart again, so I will have to live with it. The boxes are also very light due to the cardboard construction - just feels cheap and poor quality.2

Poorly madeAnonymous reviewerThe doors are great, gloss finish and proper heavy but not for the fiddly hinges which somehow don’t screw to the very bottom. It’s not one long top shelf but one is double and one single which is soooo disappointing!!! But when you go the product info it states there that there are two peaces, still it’s such a shame at the joining line for the two shows on the top!!! Easily assembled but again the wood is hollow except the shelves and doors. Didn’t return as didn’t want to pay for collection so stack with it.3

The worst qualityAnonymous reviewerI bought this sideboard even after reading the bad reviews but I have to say it’s really bad quality and the fact it’s just two units put together just looks terrible. I have bedroom furniture from Ikea in black/brown and it’s a much better finish and quality. I’m so disappointed and I now have to pay £25 to return it don’t waste your money!1

Product photo doesn't show join. It's a CGIAnonymous reviewerVery disappointed and wished I had read the previous review. This unit displays a full oak unit. It is a double and a single joined together with a line down the middle. If you zoom very closely into the picture you will see the cabinet on the right hand side is separate and joined on. In real like it looks a lot worse. It's a real shame because if the top was in one piece then the unit would be superb. Returned the unit as simply couldn't live with the join and difference in grain on the surface.1

Material

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
