Reviews
Looks great massive tilt and no bracket or support Anonymous reviewerTilts badly to one side. Plumb line is off on the side walls but the shelves are straight and braced per instruction. Wall is straight, legs are striaght. Really disappointed. There is no way to straighten it apart from drilling into the wall holding it in position and screwing to the wall. Which i didnt want to do and shouldn't have to.
Badly designed, cheaply made, always wonky. Looks awful. Avoid. Anonymous reviewerThese units have no structural integrity; the backboard is thin and because it’s not actually attached to the frame the whole thing moves and bows. It’s impossible to get it square, so none of the drawers and doors line up properly making it look awful. Whilst the shelves provide some integrity, if the unit isn’t all shelves, it’s a problem. Why on earth isn’t there at least a back brace to stabilise it? The draw units should come with a brace section, they don’t. The work around we tried is adding redundant shelves above the draws in an attempt to stabilise it (at extra cost). Even then the draws and doors are misaligned. The worst product I’ve ever purchased from ikea; cheap tat, to be avoided. Ikea should be ashamed.
Don't waste your moneyAnonymous reviewerTerrible, wonkey, wobbly cheap tat. I bought this and a matching TV stand and there both the worst pieces for furniture I've ever had. The doors don't go straight at all, no amount of adjusting helps, if you get the top straight the side is ridiculously off or vice versa. The unit it's self is extremely wobbly and unstable.
way too much movement Anonymous reviewerthese tall units are awful. They aren't rigid enough to stay square and become impossible to level because of it. And when they aren't square the doors can't close properly. I wouldn’t have bought the whole media unit if I'd known. They need a cross brace on the back.
Besta dining roomAnonymous reviewerBought and installed a number of units and all were installed as designed. Two units where damaged as part of delivery and replaced very effeciently.
What’s not to likeAnonymous reviewerThe range of Besta units are just great, so modular and easy to put together.
Screws do not fit holesAnonymous reviewerHoles were too small the 'plastic' screws given
Flimsy design Anonymous reviewerWhile the item might look nice, the design in incredible poor and it is very wobbly. In order to fix the issue I had do disassemble the item and add wood glue to the back hardboard panel. I also has to purchase additional timber to cut into 3 sections and glue across the back of the unit to ensure it is square and stable. This resolved the issue, but should not have been necessary if the item had been designed properly.
FramesAnonymous reviewerGood quality and excellent value for money
FramesAnonymous reviewerGood quality easy to assemble
Low finish qualityAnonymous reviewerWe've had it for just a few months and the white paint/finish is worn in a few spots. We've only cleaned it with mild soap and we're already considering replacing it with something else of decent quality. It's quite disappointing for the higher end of Ikea cabinets and I wouldn't recommend it.
Does the job but not great qualityAnonymous reviewerThis does what I need it to do but it's not the best quality. The two sides have already started to come apart so we need to constantly push them back in.
Brilliant as a whole unit very smart and sturdyAnonymous reviewerNice lookimg ,modern ,smart ,sturdy ,wortg the money
So easy to assembleAnonymous reviewerThis was up in less than 10 minutes. Very impressed with the quality and thickness. Buying another tomorrow.
SturdyAnonymous reviewerI bought this as an add on to the main cabinet and it all looks seamless - as though it is all part of the same piece.
The besta is the bestAnonymous reviewerI love the units
Excellent quality for the priceAnonymous reviewervery easy to assemble from clear instructions. Looks lovely
Purchased for a particular purposeAnonymous reviewerThe cupboard is ideal for storing my musical instruments and music.
Unbalanced set: light box + heavy add-onsAnonymous reviewerThe Besta box is rather positive and lightweight, made of modern materials. Fastened by 4 dowels with plastic locks and no nails or screws to fix the back panel, it seems to not survive a considerable load. And in a configuration with 5 shelves and 3 doors, the Besta box does not look completely reliable to bear them, made of solid chipboard, which weight seems about 3 times more than the Besta box. Besides, the connection with the wall depends on the thin back panel where it is attached to.
PerfectAnonymous reviewerJust what I needed. Quality, easy to assemble and will last for ever.
