2 year life spanAnonymous reviewerAs the title says we managed to assemble it and it was sturdy for two years. Still can't figure out what happened/ how it happened but it seems like one of the side panels bowed allowing the shelves to move this resulted in everything coming of the shelves. Luckily it was mostly books. Just glad my baby wasn't injured.

We've only cleaned it with mild soap and we're already considering replacing it with something else of decent quality. It's quite disappointing for the higher end of Ikea cabinets and I wouldn't recommend it.

Unbalanced set: light box + heavy add-onsAnonymous reviewerThe Besta box is rather positive and lightweight, made of modern materials. Fastened by 4 dowels with plastic locks and no nails or screws to fix the back panel, it seems to not survive a considerable load. And in a configuration with 5 shelves and 3 doors, the Besta box does not look completely reliable to bear them, made of solid chipboard, which weight seems about 3 times more than the Besta box. Besides, the connection with the wall depends on the thin back panel where it is attached to.

Impossible to put together straightAnonymous reviewerWe installed the top and sides of the frame perfectly level. However, the drawers and doors we've purchased are impossible to get straight. As you adjust one it then causes another to become misaligned. The hinges that come with the doors and drawers are terrible. The quality overall is just poor.
