Don't waste your moneyAnonymous reviewerTerrible, wonkey, wobbly cheap tat. I bought this and a matching TV stand and there both the worst pieces for furniture I've ever had. The doors don't go straight at all, no amount of adjusting helps, if you get the top straight the side is ridiculously off or vice versa. The unit it's self is extremely wobbly and unstable.

And when they aren't square the doors can't close properly. I wouldn’t have bought the whole media unit if I'd known. They need a cross brace on the back.

Flimsy design Anonymous reviewerWhile the item might look nice, the design in incredible poor and it is very wobbly. In order to fix the issue I had do disassemble the item and add wood glue to the back hardboard panel. I also has to purchase additional timber to cut into 3 sections and glue across the back of the unit to ensure it is square and stable. This resolved the issue, but should not have been necessary if the item had been designed properly.

We've only cleaned it with mild soap and we're already considering replacing it with something else of decent quality. It's quite disappointing for the higher end of Ikea cabinets and I wouldn't recommend it.

Fastened by 4 dowels with plastic locks and no nails or screws to fix the back panel, it seems to not survive a considerable load. And in a configuration with 5 shelves and 3 doors, the Besta box does not look completely reliable to bear them, made of solid chipboard, which weight seems about 3 times more than the Besta box. Besides, the connection with the wall depends on the thin back panel where it is attached to.

What is constructed board?
We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fibreboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
