Nice item but over pricedAnonymous reviewerI wanted to match my Shaker style new kitchen.
Nice sturdy item, very easy to assemble not sure why other reviews say terrible to assemble, its a load bearing item so screws understandably tight, and comes with plastic extention tool to do them up.
It doesn't collapse down very much so wont fit where I wanted.
Confused when warning label says do not paint it, although they sell in a painted black, and this wood version unsealed, im going stain mine Oak to match worktops.
Expensive for what it is, you can buy cheaper and fold more, would say £35 better price point,
That said should be perfect for indoors to reach top cupboards and as 3 step also top of wardrobe, without bringing dirty one in from garage each time.
Exactly what I was looking for Anonymous reviewerBought the black version step stool to use as steps and mainly as a stool to sit at my VADHOLMA kitchen island, whilst using my laptop, which works perfect. Delighted with the concept. As in previous reviews can be a little tricky assembling only as attaching the last frame to the base , it wasn’t completely lined up but managed to jiggle.Perfect for my uses and if required would purchase again.

It is well made, folds easily to put away.
A flip up handle to just steady oneself would be a useful add on. It makes a very useful seat also in the kitchen. Very pleased with the quality of this product.
Now I can reach the top areas Anonymous reviewerIt’s a good quality stair with a smooth finishing in the wood. I like the colour. It took me some time to install it since some areas of the screws were not easily accessible and had to turn the tool one at a time for several times, after testing my patience, it was worth the result. I used it straight away to clean deep inside the ventilator on top of the ceiling in the bathroom that was dusty and couldn’t reach before with a chair, which was more unstable and dangerous.

Clumsy design comes with an assembling nightmareAnonymous reviewerAgree with many of the comments re the cumbersome assembling! Have assembled many items from ikea or other brands. In fact just spent less than 2hrs putting together the Micke desk with shelves and Flintan chair right before this. Never would have imagined a small step ladder can cost so much troubles and frustration when assembling. Also, the final product doesn’t look as sleek as it shows in the pictures online! It can’t be folded up flat so it’s still clumsy and bulky when folded, which causes troubles for storage or can even be a hazard around home! Don’t buy 👎🏽👎🏽 worst product of IKEA I’ve seen in years as a loyal IKEA products user!
