Reviews
It’s not a divanAnonymous reviewerI like the bed, it’s sturdy well made and big drawer and I’m going to keep it. It isn’t a divan bed though. It looks like one from the outside but it has wooden slats rather than a divan platform which is not shown in the photos or description.
IKEA pls do more SMALL DOUBLESAnonymous reviewerChecking comments here, I am copying someone's to add that I too, wish that IKEA would do more small doubles. We can't go for the new VIHALS :((
Brilliant bedAnonymous reviewerBought in May 2023 for my teenage sons room when doing a room renovation. Bought everything from Ikea & everything is fab including the bed/storage under it (via drawer) as well as storage the other side which we have stored baby/children’s keepsakes.
Bought the Valevag pocket sprung mattress with it. Small double perfect for his room
Tiny houseAnonymous reviewerWe bought the Balestrand small double for our daughters very small house. The bed is really well made and the drawer is deceptively bigger than it looks. It’s really sturdy and has a self closing mechanism so you don’t bang you shins on the open drawer. Highly recommended.
Comfy bedAnonymous reviewerA little bit expensive but worth it. Bed purchased for my grandson.
Would have liked more choice in the small doubles
Hard work!Anonymous reviewerI’m not happy with my bed. It was hard work putting it together and the centre wooden plank did not fit correctly. I didn’t use the bed for 6 days as I hadn’t occupied the flat straight away. It seemed to have settled. Never the less I now have issues with pulling out the draw. I cannot open it at all now so I shall have to take the mattress off to see if there’s some way I can fix it. I’m very disappointed
Perfect bedAnonymous reviewerThis was for my son. Easy to put together and the fabric is lovely! A slight wee navy tone to the grey! Sturdy and comfy!
OutstandingAnonymous reviewerAfter some research, I decided that this was the bed for me. I have no regrets. The base was straightforward to assemble and the rolled mattress expanded exactly as stated. Good night's sleep from day one. Very satisfied.
