You can easily turn the chopping board and use both sides when you prepare food, because it has easy-to-grip slanted edges.

You can also use the chopping board as a serving tray for food such as cheese or cold cuts.

Can be placed over the bowl on BOHOLMEN, BREDSKÄR or FYNDIG sink to get an extra work surface for preparing food.

Made of bamboo, which is an easy-care, hardwearing natural material that is also gentle on your knives.

Construction of this chopping board has changed :-(Anonymous reviewerIve had 4 of these over the last 5 years, and only 1 has really stood the test of time. The others splitting along the longest length. I repurchased this summer and it looks like ikea have changed the inner construction of this so it’s more limiated. So far we’re already seeing some lifting. And to be clear we never put these boards in the dishwasher. We still have two of the mini size which have worn a lot better than this one. Really loved the idea of the bamboo, but this will be the last one we buy.2

Material

What is bamboo?

Strong, flexible and one of the world's fastest growing plants – bamboo has many uses that make it an excellent renewable material. It’s a type of grass and usually grows without the need for fertilizers or irrigation. After being harvested, it grows new shoots that are ready for harvesting after 4-6 years. At IKEA we use bamboo for items like furniture, bathroom decor, baskets and lamps – and we are constantly exploring more areas of use for this versatile material.
