Anratta oven Anonymous reviewerSorry would recommend buying the ikea appliances , I have been trying for a couple of years to get a replacement seal for my oven and got absolutely nowhere with the customer service , my oven now cuts out and the heat loss from oven is not good, now going to source and buy a replacement, my oven is still under guarantee but got no help from anyone , I spent a fortune with them as we bought a fitted kitchen with them 2
It’s ok haven’t got to grips with it as burns everything as I’m used to gas Anonymous reviewerIt seems to burn a lot of food 3
Great OvenAnonymous reviewerReally good oven. Well built, reliable and cooks well. 5
Good oven, annoying beepsAnonymous reviewerThe oven looks nice, and works very well. It has settings to heat up to temp quickly, as well as lots of different modes for cooking things i.e. pizza mode, grill, etc. The only thing that marks it down is if i'm cooking on the hob above it and leaning against the counter, this presses some of the buttons and it beeps. It happens all the time and it's pretty annoying. There's probably a way to turn off the button beeping but not the timer/to temp beeps, but I haven't found it. 4
Many faults with this modelAnonymous reviewerI've been using this oven at my in lakes holiday home and I know they had a replacement sent once and many problems in the beginning. It's a very complex oven as a main oven the steam accumulated and drips down the below I Unit and it's terrible to clean The grill part slips down All in all I was shocked to see the price of it just now when looking for a part for it Terrible quality 1
Good ValueAnonymous reviewerHad my oven a year and very pleased with it. Bought it to replace same/similar model which worked fine for 9 years. Instructions are a bit lacking, but managed to work it out. Im on low income so to get an oven of this quality which looks so good was amazing. Shame doesn't come with another set of slide out runners & another wire shelf. Also have the microwave which has been going for 10 years.5
Purchased 05/07/23 Disappointed not like GranslosAnonymous reviewerMy Granslos thermostat and digital display went wrong after 6 years. So replaced with this oven. So so disappointed. What oven doesn't have a normal timer so you put the item in and set the timer easily to when I want it to finish. The shelf (yes only one) is flimsy (I kept my old ones from my last oven). Have made the clock brighter, but it isn't brighter after it is reset. Wanted to exchange for a pricer one to see if that was better????? ANY CHANCE IKEA???? Can't get response on life chat.2
Fundamentally flawed designAnonymous reviewerThe oven (much like the microwave) has a fundamental design flaw which presents itself whenever opening the oven which contains a significant amount of steam and it manifests as if someone were randomly pressing buttons e.g., mode resets (losing timing), light switches off / on... My oven has failed after a mere 4 years (I've had engineers round no fewer than three times to deal with the microwave - same flaw!). It looks alright and worked ok for a while. It's got an irritating "gutter" that accumulates debris, but is not readily accessible.2
Lots of functions but difficult to use due to lack of a comprehensive user guide.Anonymous reviewerI have previously had ovens (not Ikea) with lots of clever functions and used them very happily, but they've always come with detailed instructions and even a recipe book. The information with this one is severely lacking and it's not very intuitive. For instance I'm sure it must be possible to change the oven temperature without cancelling the entire cooking procedure and going back to the start, but I sure can't find how! A finish time for every cooking procedure seems to be mandatory, which is very annoying if it turns out to be not yet done within the set time and you have to start the whole process from scratch! I'm having to experiment every time I use the oven and the prospect of roasting a joint of been this coming Sunday fills me with dread in case I ruin it. It's potentially a lovely oven but without adequate operation instructions most of the features will be unused. I've seen online that other have had similar issues.1
Excellent, really pleased with this ovenAnonymous reviewerIt’s fast efficient and I’m delighted with it5

Kitchen appliances for the many

How can we best assist you in your cooking, without actually being in the kitchen? One way, is to make high quality appliances at prices that leave more money left for good ingredients. To make this happen, we’re working together with carefully selected suppliers – experts we feel are the best in their field at delivering what people need in their everyday. This allows us to offer fully equipped, functional kitchens, with appliances and all the other things you need, all in one place.

Creating good things becomes a whole lot easier when you work together. And when you do it with a good amount of trust and understanding, it becomes fun and interesting.

Aha-moments during the development

Bruno Lizotte, who works with product development at IKEA of Sweden in Älmhult, tells that the development of the kitchen appliances is done hand in hand together with the suppliers. “We have a lot of experience from life at home so we share our ideas and our knowledge to get the suppliers to see things from our perspective. Then we find solutions together to improve the life in and around the kitchen,” he says. In turn, the suppliers contribute with their expertise, for example hard facts on materials, technical solutions and innovations they have in the pipeline. “By being generous we learn from each other. It’s a way to challenge old truths about how things are supposed to be done. It usually leads to a couple of aha-moments for everyone involved,” notes Bruno.

Knowledge through home visits

Some of the knowledge that’s shared comes from IKEA home visits. It’s a method to see how people in different cultures live and manage with some of life’s ups and downs in their own homes. For example, we ask; what do you do in the kitchen, except cooking? How do you use the space? Do you have friends over? What would you like to improve? What are your hopes, dreams and wishes? “The insights we get from the visits are transferred to the people we work with so we can develop better products together, and create an easier life at home,” says Bruno.

Easier days in the heart of the home

Good kitchen appliances should fit with the rest of the kitchen and with the people who use them. We all have different needs, tastes and wallets. Some of us cook because we love to, some of us because we have to. That’s why a considerable amount of time in the development process is spent on creating a selection of durable products – in different styles, functions and price levels. And always with quality as the main focus. It means a whole deal of fine-tuning, trying ideas and choosing the ones that make most use for people. “Togetherness and enthusiasm are important words to us when we develop products. In short, it means to work with people that believe in the same cause as we do, but also to respect each other’s efforts. When we manage to live up to that, we can make a true difference and contribute to a better life at home for more people. That’s really something to aim for,” says Bruno.
