Care

I can hide all those nasty cables in the slot at the rear of the desk. It blends in well with the other white furniture. I am very happy with it and would definitely recommend.

Good size, beware assemblyAnonymous reviewerBasically fine, but beware: the back flap has small parts which can very easily be assembled upside-down, and cannot be reassembled without starting from scratch.
Essentially, there are two hinges which fit into small metal slots. These slots LOOK like they can be affixed either way around, but on the inside, there's one side which the hinges CAN slot into, and one side which they can't. There is a tiny triangle to indicate which way to orient them. I assembled this with a friend, and ONE of us got it the wrong way around, but neither of us noticed the indicative triangle, so we're probably both at fault.
In any case, I'd suggest slightly better clarity on this. Different screw widths would help, so that only one orientation is actually possible. Alternately, the indicative triangle could be painted red, to make it easier to spot.

Alex desk delivered 3 times damagedAnonymous reviewerWe ordered the desk and additional drawers however the desk was damaged in transport. We had this exchanged twice and although the process was straightforward it still wasn’t a great experience overall. The third time the desk top still had slight damage to it during transport but we couldn’t be bothered to go through another return and delivery again. IKEA must waste so much stock with damaged in transport.

Wrong drill holes on one pieceAnonymous reviewerThe drill holes for the middle piece between the two drawers was incorrectly drilled (inconsistent with the pictures and made the drawers uneven.
I called and good enough, a replacement was received, however same fault on second desk. Clearly a faulty batch. I have been hoping for an opportunity to review to alert IKEA to the issue.

Scratched on the first day Anonymous reviewerThis desk is cleverly designed. The back hatch for cables will hold 2 x six plug power extensions comfortably. HOWEVER the finish is very poor quality. The paint got scratched on the desk surface seemingly during the assembly process. I do not hold out any hope this item will last more than a year. I think it will just gather scratches until I get sick of it and replace it.
You should also be aware that the usable desk area is quite shallow so you will have to put your monitors on the cable hatch be prepared to set-and-forget as it will be fiddly to open.
