I use it daily, but it should not have deteriorated so quickly. Additionally, the noises are horrendous, creaking every time I sit back. For such an expensive item, I expected better.2

Nice but flawedAnonymous reviewerThe good: the leather feels nice, the colour is great, it's pretty comfortable. The bad: the wheels have an over the top "anti roll" design to stop it wildly rolling around the place but, on carpet, it's impossible to push it around. It more or less needs lifting up to move it. As far as I can tell, this can't be adjusted or turned off. The ugly: mine isn't level. One arm rest is about 2cm too low and the other, equally high. This means one side doesn't quite fit under my desk, although it doesn't feel too uneven while sitting on it. It's okay, but for the price i'd have expected better quality control and adjustable wheel friction. 3

I would like to be able to get a protective cover for the seat.Anonymous reviewerThis chair is very comfortable. I am under five feet tall and it is just right for me on its lowest position. My husband is 5 Feet 9 and it fits him too. It looks lovely and it is just as nice today as when it first arrived nearly a year ago and it has been used every day since then. The only thing that would make it a better purchase would be the option to buy a cloth cover for the seat. Sometimes I want a different feel to the cushion and I would like to have a washable cloth cover for it - for that little bit of extra comfort and to protect the leather. In particular from people who sit on it wearing denims with metal studs on pockets which can cause damage. I don't know if you can get replacement seat covers if the leather one gets damaged. But given how expensive the chair is - it would make sense to be able to do that.4

The challenge with ALEFJÄLL swivel chair was to combine retro style from the 1950s with the demands on function and comfort we have today. It is fully adjustable to your body, without looking technical, so it fits at home as well as in the office. I think chairs should look good from behind and I am particularly pleased with how the adjustable backrest integrates with the metal frame. ALEFJÄLL is comfortable, reliable and convivial – functional and stylish at the same time.
