This cover is made from Knisa fabric in polyester, which is dope-dyed. It’s a durable material which has a soft feel.

The seat is made with foam and zigzag springs that provide firm and supportive comfort – both when you sit and lie down.

Fit for purpose?Anonymous reviewerWe bought an Asarum sofabed in July 2022. We were happy with our purchase, found it comfortable as a bed. However within the second year I reported with photos, that the mattress cushion had started to deform whereupon I was told that this wasn’t covered by the 10 year guarantee. The mattress has now deformed to the point that a deep recess has formed midway down the mattress. So not suitable for long term use. Fit for purpose, I don’t think so.

The sofa has a dip, it is covered by 10 year warranty, but any attempt to 'replace' directs me to self-service tools, manage your order and delivery. That's not helpful. I will try to call them and go to the store, but it is frustrating. Regarding the sofa - it's not value for money.

Its not that comfortable to sit on as the back is very hard. We use it as lounger in the bedroom.
The bed is ok as a occasional guest bed, its a good size, the mattress is firm, but comfortable. I wouldn't recommend it for long term use, or if you prefer a softer mattress.

Such a good designAnonymous reviewerEasy to put together and so simple to put out and away, storage is a bonus can fit a mattress topper two pillows and a double duvet in so everything where you need it! Was after a full size double but was really limited on width. This fit the space perfect and from initial test seems comfy both as a bed and sofa. Will be for occasional use so can’t comment on how it will hold up.

One side piece of plywood cracked along back edge of base, but far too cumbersome and heavy to return to store. Doesn't currently affect functionality though might affect longevity.

Quick and easy to convert.Anonymous reviewerWe bought this to go into an office space as an occasional bed. It converts very easily with one hand and is light. It has enough storage space for a duvet and pillows underneath. As a sofa is very firm and looks quite basic so I don't think I'd want to use it regularly in a main room but it's perfect for our use.

As others have mentioned it is very firm but we have alleviated this by using a thick mattress topper. The sofa is used in a home office and is great to use as somewhere to sit for breaks from work. The dog loves sitting on it too!
