How to get it

It’s easy to create a cosy mood at home with this LED block candle. Just move your hand to turn it on and off – and when the batteries need charging, there is a micro-USB port on the underside.

Product details

On the underside of the candle there is a button with three positions – OFF, 6H and a hand symbol.

Wave your hand above the candle to turn it on and off.

Setting the button to 6H activates the timer - the candle switches on at the same time every day and switches off automatically after 6 hours.

Setting the button to the hand symbol activates the motion sensor. Then you can turn the candle on and off with a hand movement. If you forget about the candle, it will turn off automatically after 6 hours.

If you choose rechargeable batteries for the candle, you can easily charge them via the micro-USB port located on the underside of the candle. Cable is sold separately.

A safe alternative for homes with children or pets since the block candle can be used as decorative lighting anywhere without the risk of fire.

The LED candle gives a cosy, flickering light that resembles a real candle flame.

The LED light source consumes up to 85% less energy and lasts 10 times longer than incandescent bulbs.

Nightlight or led candleAnonymous reviewerThe version I bought has a sloping top. It doesn't really look like a candle and the 'flicker' is not very realistic. I suppose the slanted top makes it more suitable for outdoors use and it may collect less dust indors. It would be nice to be able to vary the light intensity but I haven't been able to do it. I use it as a nightlight when we have guests.3
Look nice, but the timer is off.Anonymous reviewerThey don't look as realistic as the Godaften candles, but the batteries last longer which is a plus. My main criticism is the timer; I turn them on at a certain time and the next night they come on up to an hour earlier than they should. It's better to use the motion sensor unless there's a shelf above, in which case the timer is a necessity as the motion sensor goes haywire.4
Stopped working after 2 weeksAnonymous reviewerThe hand wave function stopped working after 2 weeks. If the item had been more expensive I would have returned it but not worth doing that. Would not recommend this item. Yes, it's only £5 but I will be throwing it away!1
