Adhesive fails within weeksAnonymous reviewerApparently these are meant to be stuck rather than screwed onto PAX wardrobes, but all the adhesive pads have failed pretty much within a few weeks of the wardrobe having been assembled by a supposedly qualified IKEA TaskRabbit assembly person.
I've tried to superglue them back on to no avail as the lamps are quite front-heavy, and have ordered another set of adhesive pads as a spare part in case I got a dodgy batch. Hopefully that will sort things out, but I expected better quality and design from IKEA.
Unusable without extra purchaseAnonymous reviewerI was not made aware when I ordered this light that I had to order another item for it to work. So I haven't be able to fit or use this light.
Adhesive pad failed after a few weeksAnonymous reviewerI used the adhesive pads to attach to an IKEA smooth surfaced wardrobe that is already in situ. Not enough clearance to screw them on top really. The base is either stuck to the surface using the pad or screwed in, before attaching the light to the base by sliding the two ‘toothed’ parts together, the ‘teeth’ hold it in place. I prepped and attached the adhesive pads exactly as per instructions, but both pads have come unstuck within a few short weeks. I would now have to revert to attempting to screw the base to the wardrobe top, but have no idea how I would do that, let alone be able to remove the base from the light due to the ‘teeth’ being so firmly wedged together. I can’t even superglue the base to the wardrobe because the base isn’t flat! So at present they’re unusable, I’m really annoyed and will have to contact IKEA.

Good productAnonymous reviewerGood product. Fits Hemnes range well in the lounge. Easy to fit. A bit tricky figuring out what connectors to buy to fit the system though. Had to make a very long return trip as initially brought wrong products. However, who doesn’t need an excuse for another IKEA shop?!

Disapointing LightAnonymous reviewerI was suprised how little choice there is either from ikea or other vendors for bookcase lights. most similar I could find attached vertically rather than horizontally than these. I was disappointed with these particular lights because firstly the light is very dim, and then secondly when I realised you could not change the bulb, and would have to replace the whole fitting when one goes.
Thirdly this could mean having to replace all 4 I bought if this model is no longer available or has been changed.

Really adjustable, so you can choose how far they protrude, the angle of the lamp, and the fitting allows some adjustment after you’ve stuck them (using the very secure and easy to use sticky pads- amazing), and the light is bright but soft and warm. Even when I sit at an angle where I can see the bulb, it’s not dazzling, and I wouldn’t need to dim them at all; but they are also bright and cheerful and lighting the bookcase beautifully. 100% would recommend
