Have a taste of Swedish Easter
Swedish Easter might seem a little different but most of the basics are still there. We love Easter eggs, however, in Sweden they aren't layed by hens according to Swedish Easter tradition, they all come from “påskharen” (the Easter hare – our version of the Easter bunny), who’s not only capable of laying eggs – but also very good at hiding them. It's a good thing your little ones are expert Easter egg hunters!
Over the Easter holidays we also invite all our friends and family over for a big buffet meal. At a Swedish table you'll find cured salmon, marinated herring, knäckebröd (Swedish crispbread), cheese and – of course – an abundance of sweet treats, all atop beautiful Easter decorations. Our Swedish Food Market is the perfect place to pick up a bite for your Easter buffet. Speaking of sweet treats, why not warm everyones heart and delight with a home-made Easter cake, and IKEA bakeware has the perfect tools for the job. Little ones make the best chef's assistant and you can get matching Aprons with the MARIATHERES range.
