IKEA Live Lagom Community Terms and Conditions


1 THE PROGRAMME

1.1 These terms and conditions relate to your participation in the IKEA sustainable life at home programme which aims to gain insights into sustainable living in the home by interacting with users of products from IKEA’s healthy and sustainable living product range in real life situations (the “Live LAGOM Programme”).

1.2 The Live Lagom Programme will be conducted by IKEA Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 1986283) with its registered office at 100 Avebury Boulevard, 7th Floor, Milton Keynes, MK9 1FH. (“we/us/our”).

1.4. The Live LAGOM Programme will commence on 8th October 2020 and we anticipate it will be completed by 31st June 2021 (the “Programme Term”).

1.5 In addition to the terms set out in these terms and conditions, our terms and conditions of purchase apply to purchases made as part of the Live LAGOM Programme. These can be found on our website at www.ikea.co.uk

2 ACCESS

2.1 The Live LAGOM Programme will involve us and our trusted service partners interacting with you and your family regarding your use of products from our sustainability range through workshopssocial media and our online Live LAGOM community.

2.2 During the Programme Term, you agree to grant us reasonable access to your home for the purposes of conducting the Live LAGOM Programme, including interviews and taking photographs and film.

2.3 Whenever access to your home is required in connection with the Live LAGOM Programme, we will give you reasonable notice that such access is required, including the date and time of our visit.

3 THE PURCHASE OF SUSTAINABLE PRODUCTS

3.1 In return for you complying with your obligations under these terms and conditions, we will provide you with a list of products which are included in our healthy and sustainable living product range.

3.2 At the beginning of the programme you will be asked to select products up to a value of one hundred pounds sterling (£100) from the list of products provided to you or as agreed by us. You will be given further products throughout the Programme at the workshops.

3.3 We will provide you with an IKEA co-worker to assist you in your selection and purchase of products.

3.4 Purchases can be made in any IKEA store within the United You are responsible for selecting, collecting and delivering the products from an IKEA store.

4 OUR RIGHTS TO CANCEL

4.1 We may have to cancel the Live LAGOM Programme if any act or event beyond our reasonable control (an “Event outside our control”) occurs and we are unable to continue with the Live LAGOM Programme.

4.2 If an Event outside our control occurs we will contact you as soon as is reasonably possible to notify you and if we fail to remedy the situation within a reasonable time you may cancel your participation in the Live LAGOM.

4.3 We may also cancel your participation in the Live LAGOM Programme at any time with immediate effect by giving you written notice if you do not comply with these terms and conditions in any material way and you do not correct or fix the situation within a reasonable time of us asking you to do so in.

5 YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL

5.1 If you no longer wish to participate in the Live LAGOM Programme, you may cancel your participation by providing us with two (2) weeks’ notice in.

5.2 If you cancel your participation in the Live LAGOM Programme and have already purchased products we may require you to return these products to us.

6 YOUR OBLIGATIONS

6.1 During the Live LAGOM Programme you must monitor your progress using the guidance documents provided and complete all surveys required.

6.2 You must attend the welcome Induction specified by us at the time of application.

6.3 You will be invited to participate in other in store activities such as workshops and dinner parties. IKEA will follow the Government guidelines on social distancing at the time. These may be online and/or in store. IKEA reserves the right to unilaterally vary any of these terms as it may reasonably require to comply with Government guidelines in response to COVID-19.

7 HOW WE MAY USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

7.1 We and our trusted service partners may use the personal information you provide to us in connection with the Live LAGOM Programme to:

7.1.1 conduct and report the results of the Live LAGOM Programme, including posting the results of any interviews, stories and/or photographs in internal and external media (including online);
7.1.2 send you Programme-related communications; and
7.1.3 inform you about products or services that we provide, which are similar to those forming part of the Live LAGOM Programme, but you may stop receiving these at any time by contacting us using the contact details in Clause 1.The personal information you provide to us will be held and processed in accordance with our privacy policy, available at

7.2 You irrevocably and exclusively grant to us the royalty-free right to use any intellectual property rights in all materials resulting from your participation in the Live LAGOM Programme (the “Materials”) for the purposes of the Live LAGOM Programme.

7.3 You unconditionally and irrevocably waive, in respect of the Materials, all moral rights to which you may now or at any future time be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.

8 WHAT ARE WE RESPONSIBLE FOR?

8.1 If we fail to comply with these terms and conditions, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of the terms and conditions or of our negligence.

8.2 We will make good any damage to your home caused by us or our trusted service partners in the course of conducting the Live LAGOM Programme.

8.3 We do not exclude or limit in any way our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other loss or damage you may suffer where our responsibility to you as a consumer cannot by law be excluded or limited under current legislation in force in either the UK or the Republic of Ireland.

9 GENERAL

9.1 These terms and conditions are between you and us. No other person shall have any rights to enforce any of the terms.

9.2 These terms and conditions are governed by English law. You and we both agree to submit to the non-exclusive.
