What’s the difference between IKEA Kreativ in the IKEA app and IKEA Kreativ on a web browser?

Both versions offer the same core design experience. You can add, arrange, and swap IKEA furniture in a room on either platform. A few features are platform-specific, though, so it's worth knowing which one works best for what you're trying to do.

Whole Room Scanning

Scanning a whole room to create a 3D version of your space is only available with IKEA Kreativ in the IKEA app on LiDAR devices, like iPhone Pro and iPad Pro. Using your mobile device, you can scan your real space, and then continue designing it on mobile or web. Learn how to find your scans and designs here.

Photo Snap & Upload

Snapping a photo is only available in the IKEA app. Uploading a photo is coming to both platforms soon!

Room Builder

Building a 3D room by entering custom dimensions is currently only available on the web.

Zoom

Zoom is available throughout IKEA Kreativ in the IKEA app. On the web, it's only supported in Room Builder and empty 3D rooms.

Sharing and Remixing

On the web version of IKEA Kreativ, you can share your room using a Remix link, which allows others to open and edit a copy of your room design. You can also copy and share a design code, which enables anyone with the code to open your design from the IKEA Kreativ landing page. In the IKEA app, you can share an image of your room design, but Remix links and design codes are not currently supported.

Everything else

Whether using IKEA Kreativ on the IKEA app or the IKEA website, you can erase, arrange, and duplicate furniture and decor as you design.
