What can I do if my product is missing some parts?

If you've received a product or package that has missing parts, you will be able to either order these parts online, pick up the missing part(s) at an IKEA store or arrange a delivery through IKEA Customer Services depending on the part that you’re missing.

If you’re missing a part of a product that you just bought, start by opening and checking all boxes you brought home from the store or that was delivered to you, as some products may be split into several boxes. If the product you bought is indeed missing one or several parts, how you can proceed depends on whether you’re able to find a 6 or 8-digit code for the missing part on the assembly guide. Some small spare parts such as screws or fittings, come with a code whereas others don’t. 
If you don't have the assembly instructions at hand, you can find it by searching for the product on our website and on the product page you will find the path: Product Details > Assembly & documents > Assembly Instructions.
 

There is a 6 or 8-digit code

If you find a 6- or 8-digit code for the missing part, you can order spare parts from our website and we will have them mailed directly to you free of charge. If you need a spare part more urgently, there is also a small selection of spare parts at customer service points in IKEA stores. The availability of the product may vary, but if the part is in stock, you can get it from the department store.
If you decide to visit an IKEA store but you can't find a suitable spare part, an employee can order the part for you through the spare parts service. You can also contact customer service before your visit to the department store and ask an employee to check if there is a spare part you need.
 

There is no 6 or 8-digit code  

If you’re unable to find a code for the missing part, you can contact IKEA Customer Service either in-store or online depending on your choice:   
  • Visit an IKEA store. Make sure that you bring your purchase invoice/receipt with you when going to your nearest IKEA store. If you used your IKEA Family account at the time of purchase, you can also access your receipt by logging in and viewing your Purchase History. Once at the store, head to the Customer Service desk, usually located near the store entrance or exit.

    An IKEA co-worker will assist you in identifying the missing part. If the part is in stock, you may be able to take it home immediately. If not, it may be available to order for you to your home.
  • Contact IKEA customer service online in chat or by calling 09 3482 9400. Our co-workers will help you with identifying the missing part. If a part is available, it can be ordered for you by transport.
