If you are recycling a bed/mattress:
- Bed frames must be disassembled and safely packaged in advance so that the transport company can easily and safely carry the bed parts from the apartment to the transport vehicle
- Mattresses must be ready for transport as they are or safely packaged
If you are recycling a sofa:
- The sofa must be ready to be carried and any separate parts detached from each other
- Any movable mechanisms should be securely fastened before transport to ensure the pickup goes as smoothly as possible
- If the sofa has removable covers that you want to keep for yourself, please remember to remove them before the transport company arrives
When recycling an appliance:
- The appliance's power cords and other connections must be disconnected, and the appliance must be ready to be carried onto the transport vehicle
It's important to note that often the installation or removal of washing machine pipes may also require the professional skills of a plumber, and for example, only an electrician is allowed to disconnect an oven's electrical cord.
If you need external help with dismantling the product or detaching electrical parts, you can of course always turn to our partners: Assembly and Installation Services.
