Can I return my IKEA product?
It's perfectly okay if you realize after your purchase that a product is not right for you after all. That's why IKEA Germany offers a 365-day return policy for products purchased in an IKEA store or online from IKEA Germany.
You can return items within 365 days if they unused, undamaged and clean are. It does not matter whether the packaging has already been opened or the product has even been assembled. You don't have to bring the original packaging with you for the return.
Would you like to return an item? If so, please have a valid proof of purchase ready along with the product—for example, your receipt or order confirmation. Proof of purchase is required for every return.
However, the following are excluded from the right of return: Tailored goods, green plants and items from the Second Chance Market.
To return it, you can take your product to an IKEA store. To make your visit even easier, you can make an appointment in advance. If you don't have the opportunity to visit a store, alternative return options are also available. Please note that returns are not accepted in our planning studios.

When will I receive my refund?
- Refunds will be initiated after:
- we have received your return, or
- your order has been cancelled.
- After processing, it usually takes 7 banking days until the amount appears in your account.
- Quickly check the current status of your refund via your IKEA Family profile.
In short: You have 365 days to return products from IKEA Germany. As long as the items are unused, undamaged, clean and you can provide proof of purchase, we will refund the purchase amount. After receipt of the return or confirmation of a cancellation, the refund is usually made within 7 banking days.
