Do I need proof of purchase to return?

After your purchase, you have 365 days to return your products, and we will refund you the full purchase price.

Please note the following:
  • Yes, you need a valid receipt to return products. However, returns without proof of purchase are not possible.
  • You can also use a digital proof of purchase: In your IKEA Family profile, you can register all your purchases – and then retrieve the receipts there. The same applies if you like to shop online using your IKEA profile.
  • If the item was originally paid for by card, that card must be presented in its original form when returning the item.
  • Items purchased during a promotion will only be refunded proportionally – minus the promotional discount.
Returns when paying with a coupon
If you have paid for your purchase in full with a coupon and return one or more items, the following applies:
  • When returning discounted items, we reserve the right to deduct the corresponding discount from the refund amount.
  • The coupon used cannot be refunded.
  • A replacement coupon will not be issued.
In this way, we ensure fair and consistent processing of returns.
