Do I need proof of purchase to return an item and how do I get a refund?
After your purchase, you have 365 days to return your products, and we will refund you the full purchase price.
- You can also use a digital proof of purchase: In your IKEA Family profile, you can register all your purchases – and then retrieve the receipts there. The same applies if you like to shop online using your IKEA profile. A return without any proof of purchase is not possible.
- If the item was originally paid for by card, that card must be presented in its original form when returning the item.
- Items purchased during a promotion will only be refunded proportionally – minus the promotional discount.
- We issue refunds once the returned products arrive at our location or after you cancel your order. Depending on the refund method, it may take some time for the amount to appear in your account. You can check the status of your refund in your profile.
If you have paid for your purchase in full with a coupon and return one or more items, the following applies:
- When returning discounted items, we reserve the right to deduct the corresponding discount from the refund amount.
- The coupon used cannot be refunded.
- A replacement coupon will not be issued.
