Can IKEA pick up my mattress if I want to return it?
Yes – but it depends on whether your mattress has already been used or not:
If you want to return a mattress, the possibility of a pick-up depends on whether the mattress has already been used. Used mattresses can be returned as part of the 365-night trial sleep, but must be brought to an IKEA store yourself.

Unused mattress
You can return your unused mattress within 365 days of purchase with a valid proof of purchase.
On request, we can also pick up the mattress from your home. Pick-up can be booked through a freight forwarder.
Costs for collection: 75 €
Used mattress
If you have already slept on the mattress, a pick-up is unfortunately not possible. not possible.
Please return the mattress to an IKEA store yourself. As part of our 365-night trial sleep, you can return the mattress with proof of purchase if it doesn't fit you.
Picking up and disposing of your old mattress when you buy a new mattress
When you buy a new mattress, we also offer to take your old mattress with you and dispose of it properly.
Please note the following requirements:
- The service is only available in conjunction with the purchase of a new mattress and a carrier delivery.
- The service cannot be offered for parcel deliveries.
- It is not possible to hand it in for disposal in the IKEA store.

Important for booking
The disposal service must be booked directly during the order.
For orders paid for with Klarna or Ratepay, it is unfortunately not possible to book the service at a later date.

- Our drivers bring a suitable disposal bag with them.
- You pack your old mattress yourself.
- The drivers take the packed mattress with them.
- We take care of the professional disposal.
This makes it easy for you to decide what suits you best – returning a mattress or disposing of an old mattress.
