Can I return my IKEA mattress?
It is important that you love your new mattress. If after a while you discover that your mattress is too firm, too soft or too something else, you can bring the mattress back and simply change it for another.
We know that you can’t find the right mattress in just 10 minutes. Your body needs about four to six weeks to adjust to a new mattress. That’s why you can take your mattress home and lie and sleep on it until you’re convinced of the quality and truly feel comfortable. To get the best comfort, you also need the right pillow. You should make sure you have a pillow that suits you and your new mattress.
You can exchange your mattress within 365 days of purchase if you change your mind – provided it’s not dirty or damaged. Just bring your mattress along with the proof of purchase to an IKEA store. You can book a return time slot using our scheduling tool - please note that the appointment tool is currently available in German only. We’ll refund the full purchase price on a voucher – and help you find a mattress that suits you better.
If you would like to upgrade your mattress to a more expensive one than the mattress you initially bought, all IKEA asks is that you pay the difference between the original purchase price and the price of the replacement chosen. If the replacement mattress is lower in price, IKEA will credit the difference to an IKEA Refund card for you to use towards a future purchase.
