Can I return my IKEA mattress?

If you find out after buying that your mattress doesn't fit you perfectly, you can exchange many IKEA mattresses as part of our 365-night trial sleep. Because good sleep is very individual and often the body needs a few weeks to get used to a new mattress.

Try your mattress and decide at your leisure

  • You can test your mattress at home and try it out over a longer period of time.
  • The body often needs about four to six weeks to get used to a new mattress.
  • The right pillow can also have a big impact on your sleeping comfort.

Exchange mattress

If you are within 365 days after purchase If you find that the mattress doesn't fit you, you can exchange it at an IKEA store.
The prerequisites for this are:
  • The mattress is not dirty, stained or damaged.
  • You bring a valid proof of purchase.
  • The return takes place in an IKEA store.

How the refund works

When exchanging, you will receive the original purchase price on an IKEA prepaid card and can choose a different mattress directly.
  • If the new mattress is more expensive, you only pay the price difference.
  • If the new mattress is cheaper, you will receive the difference as credit on an IKEA prepaid card.

Exceptions to the 365-night trial sleep

The right of exchange does not apply to:
  • Mattress toppers
  • ENGAVÅGEN Federkern
  • FÖLUNGEN Spring Core
  • SÄBÖVIK mattress
  • Bed Sofa Mattresses
  • Baby and children's mattresses
  • Mattresses sold exclusively as part of a complete offer with a bed frame (e.g. BLÅFJÄLLET bed frame with mattress)

Where can I return the mattress?

  • The return or exchange takes place in an IKEA store.
  • Returns to IKEA planning studios are not possible.
