What can I do if my product is missing some parts?

If you've received a product or package that has missing parts such as screws or components, you can either order them online, pick them up at an IKEA store or arrange a delivery through IKEA Customer Service - depending on which part is missing.

We apologize for the inconvenience and will do our best to help you. If you are missing a part of a product you just purchased, please check all boxes first, as some products may be split into multiple boxes. If the individual parts cannot be found in any of the boxes, the further procedure depends on whether the individual parts are listed in the assembly instructions with a numerical code (6- or 8-digit spare part number).
If you don't have the assembly instructions at hand, you can find them on IKEA.de on the product page under "Product Details" > "Assembly and Documents" > "Assembly Instructions".

There is a 6- or 8-digit spare part code

If the missing spare parts have a 6 or 8-digit code, you can order them via our Online-Formular to be posted directly to you - free of charge. The parts will be delivered to you by post within three to five working days.
If you need the spare parts faster, then visit your Nearest IKEA store and contact the customer service desk, which is usually located near the exit. There is also a small selection of spare parts that the staff can hand over to you directly. IKEA planning studios and pick up points cannot hand out spare parts. Please note: If the spare part is not in stock on site, the colleagues will organize a free postal delivery for you. Delivery will be made to your address within three to five business days.  

There is no spare part code

If the missing part in the assembly instructions does not have a spare part code, please contact IKEA Customer Service - either in the store or online:
  • Visit an IKEA store. Make sure you bring your proof of purchase. If you used your IKEA Family account to make purchases, you can access the receipt from your profile: Log in to your IKEA Family-Konto and look under "Purchase History". In your nearest IKEA store contact the customer service desk, which is usually located near the exit.

    The co-worker will help you identify the missing item. If it's available locally, you can take it home right away. If not, they will arrange home delivery as soon as the part is available.  
  • Contact IKEA customer service online. Type "make a claim" in the chat. We can identify the missing part and arrange a home delivery if the item is available in the spare parts warehouse. Remember to have your order number or receipt handy when contacting customer service.
