Making home solar accessible for the many

We need electricity to live a good life at home. However, the truth is that most power is produced in power plants that use fossil fuels. Clean alternatives are available, but up until now they have been beyond the reach of most people. But all that’s about to change.

Haven’t heard of IKEA Home Solar?

Well, that’s because we’ve only launched our home solar service in 11 markets. But rest assured, we want to make clean energy widely available as soon as possible. After all, when it comes to fighting global warming, we’ve got no time to lose.

To help reduce our climate footprint, we will switch to 100% renewable energy across the IKEA value chain by 2030.

Renewable, clean energy at work and at home

Switching from fossil fuels to renewable energy is one of the most effective ways we can limit global warming to 1.5°C. So far, we have over 935,000 solar panels on our stores and other buildings. We also want to help customers make the switch by providing clean energy services like home solar.
