So, the best advice is to combine different light sources,” says Anna Granath, who works with lighting at IKEA. “You need general lighting from the ceiling when you clean, and a soft, glare-free light close to the mirror that doesn’t create shadows in the face."
The right light for the face
You will get the most favourable light for the face with one lamp on each side of the mirror directed at you. “A lamp with a rectangular form is good for spreading light and common in bathrooms in particular. The designers that created KABOMBA, played around with the form by dividing the wall lamp into three circles in a row. It gives a nice graphic expression.” There’s also a round wall lamp with a magnifying mirror in the series that’s good when you put in your lenses or apply makeup.
Create atmosphere with the lighting
The wall lamps are dimmable, so you can easily adjust the brightness depending on the time of the day or what you are doing.
