Celebrate at IKEA

At the agreed time you will be welcomed by one of our co-workers at the store entrance (opposite our Småland play area). We’ll take all the kids to a separate, specially decorated table in the restaurant. We’ll spend one and a half hours there, eating and doing craft activities (or taking part in a workshop, depending on your choice). Any presents can be opened here too. You’ll then go to Småland for an hour’s play. After 2.5 hours we look forward to seeing the responsible adult back in Småland to pick up all the kids. Every child will leave with a small gift.

Note: playing in Småland is included in every option, so all participants must be between 95cm and 140cm high, as stated in the height rules for our Småland play area. Unfortunately, we cannot make any exceptions, even for brothers and sisters.

Every child aged between 5 and 8 is welcome to celebrate their birthday here with up to 10 friends. It’s no problem if a friend is a year younger or older.​ As playing in Småland is always included, all children must be between 100 cm and 135 cm.

You can contact a Småland co-worker to talk through the different options at any time.

You can see the available party dates and times on the event website of every IKEA store. To book, just click your preferred date and time and fill out your details. We will email you the practical details (food, activities). You should come along to the Customer Service at your IKEA store to pay no later than two weeks before the party. You can also pick up the invitations then if you wish.

Make any allergies and intolerances clear to one of the Småland co-workers in advance and mention it again at the start of the party. We will be more than happy to provide an alternative.

Every child has a right to a birthday party! We will look at all the options with you.
