How do I control my IKEA Smart home when I'm not at home?

With Control Anywhere in the IKEA Home smart app, you can remotely connect to your DIRIGERA hub and control your smart products, even outside your Wi-Fi network.

What is Control Anywhere? 

Control Anywhere is a feature in the IKEA Home Smart‑app that allows you to: 
  • Connects to your DIRIGERA hub 
  • Control your smart products 
  • Even when you are not connected to your home‑Wi-Fi 

How do I set up Control Anywhere? 

Set up Control Anywhere while connected to your home's Wi-Fi: 
  1. Connect your smartphone to your home‑Wi-Fi. 
  2. Open de IKEA Home Smart‑app. 
  3. Go to your settings DIRIGERA hub. 
  4. Turn on Control Anywhere. 
Please note: 
  • Turning Control Anywhere on or off applies to all users who have access to the same DIRIGERA hub
  • You also turn it on or off later while you are connected to your home Wi‑Fi

Do I need to be at home to control my Smart home? 

No. Once Control Anywhere is set up and enabled, you can: 
  • Connect to the DIRIGERA hub 
  • Control your smart products 
  • Even when you are not at home‑Wi-Fi, for example on the road or at work 
Without Control Anywhere, you can only control your Smart Home when your smartphone is connected to your home‑Wi-Fi.
