What are the IKEA return conditions for mattresses?

At IKEA, it is important that you are happy with your new mattress. If, within 90 days of purchase, you find that your mattress is too firm, too soft or simply not right for you, you can exchange it under the 90-day mattress trial guarantee.

1. GIVE YOUR NEW MATTRESS SOME TIME

Please note that your new mattress may initially feel a little too firm.
Allow at least one month for:
  • your body to get used to the mattress
  • the mattress to adjust to your body
For optimal comfort, you also need the right pillow. Make sure your pillow is suitable for you and your new mattress.

2. WHEN YOU CAN EXCHANGE YOUR MATTRESS

You can exchange your mattress within 90 days of purchase if it is not right for you.
To be eligible for an exchange:
  • you must have followed the care instructions
  • the mattress must not be soiled
  • the mattress must not be damaged

3. HOW THE EXCHANGE WORKS

Bring your mattress together with your proof of purchase to an IKEA store. After it has been checked by our Customer Service team, you will receive the value of the mattress on an IKEA refund card. You can then use this refund card to choose a new mattress.

4. PLEASE NOTE

Mattress exchanges are not available at IKEA Westbahnhof.
