Can I try IKEA products at home and return them if I’m not satisfied?

Many IKEA products come with a 365-day return policy. You can try them at home and return them if they don’t meet your expectations and the relevant return conditions are met.

Want to see whether an IKEA product really suits you and your home? For many products, you have plenty of time to decide.

1. How long can I try a product?

Many IKEA products come with a 365-day return policy. If the product doesn’t meet your expectations, you can return it within this period.

2. What condition does the product need to be in?

To be eligible for return, the product should be in a reasonable and resaleable condition.

3. What do I need for a return?

Returns and complaints require proof of purchase, for example:
  • your receipt or invoice
  • your order number
  • or your IKEA Family card, if you used it when making the purchase

4. Are there any exceptions?

Please note: Different conditions apply to certain products.
  • Mattresses can be returned as part of the 90-day mattress trial.
  • Electrical appliances can only be returned in their original packaging.
