How can I return an item to IKEA?

Want to return an item to IKEA? No problem. Returns are simple and flexible. Many products can be returned within 365 days, provided they meet our return conditions.
How it works
Online return
- Log in to your IKEA account.
- Go to “Purchases & orders” and select the order containing the item you want to return.
- Click “Return”.
- Select the item and the reason for the return.
- Choose a return method, such as parcel return or collection by truck.
Express return
If you want to make your return especially quick, use our Express return. This allows you to register your item in advance and complete your return more quickly.
Return at an IKEA store
You can also return your item directly to an IKEA store near you. This saves return shipping costs and you will usually receive your refund straight away.
Important information for Vienna
Please note that IKEA Vienna Westbahnhof cannot accept large furniture returns. You can return large items at IKEA Vösendorf or IKEA Vienna North instead.
Return period and conditions
- Many products can be returned within 365 days.
- Mattresses are covered by the 90-day mattress trial.
- Electrical appliances can only be returned in their original packaging.
