I have lost my IKEA receipt, can I still make a claim?
Find out how to find your IKEA proof of purchase and still submit a complaint online even if you no longer have the original receipt.
Even without the original receipt, you can still submit your complaint to IKEA online. There are several ways to find or provide proof of purchase showing that you bought the item from us.
How it works
1. Did you order online or have your order delivered?
You can use your order number or delivery note as proof of purchase.
You’ll find this information in your order confirmation email or on the delivery note that came with your order.

2. Are you an IKEA Family member?
If you used your IKEA Family card when making the purchase, you can view your previous purchases at any time in your customer account.
There you’ll find your orders and can select the relevant purchase for your complaint.
Important information about complaints
Returns and complaints are only possible with proof of purchase.
Exceptions apply to:
- Mattresses (these can only be returned as part of the 90-day mattress trial)
- Electrical appliances (these can only be returned in their original packaging)
